A couple of openings for graduate research assistants are immediately available in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Louisiana State University for research on nanoindentation and nanomechanics of natural minerals and clay-based nanocomposites and multilayers. Applicants should have a strong background in mechanics, physics or chemistry, and experimental skills. We are searching for candidates with a Master’s degree and strong motivation toward a PhD degree. Annual stipend is at least $25,000 and can be as high as $30,000 (or more). The package will also include tuition waiver.
